Elbert # 7 Bottom Today taken from whats left of Pinchback, the Coal trains are still rolling out of # 7.

Elbert # 7 Whats left of Pinchback there are three houses left on the Row only one of which is still occupied the others are waiting to be torn down

Elbert # 7 The red house is the last remaining house on Pinchback Row still occupied.

This is the scene today just before entering Elbert on the right all of the houses of the black community on the right are gone and it seems the Coal Company are getting ready to mine this area , we found what seems to be the begining of a Tipple construction.

Elbert # 7 These next three houses are all thats left of the Black community before entering # 7 , they are the houses on the left on the hill. They are abandoned, stripped and seem to be waiting for teardown.

Elbert # 7, looks like these houses will be torn down to make way for a Mine or Tipple.

Not much left of Elbert # 7 but the Bottom, how long will that last?

I went four wheeling with Buddy French and Carmello Miano in the mountains above # 6, 7, and 9 in March a little wet but a lot of fun...BG

This is a Goodman Cutting Machine, its probably in the No. 6 West side mine in the 1950`s.
